    Warning when binding to global function

    smagfx2 Level 1

      Hi,

      I have a component that has a property which is a Function. I want to use a reference to a global function here but Flex gives me the warning:

      Data binding will not be able to detect assignments to "isValidNumber".

      Here's what the global function might look like:

      package
      {
           public function isValidNumber(str:String):Boolean
           {
                ...
           }
      }

      Is this warning supposed to happen? It doesn't seem like it should -- referencing such a global function should be the same as referencing a static method of an object from the perspective of data binding.

      If this isn't a bug, then is there a way to disable this warning? I would like to still receive it when binding to fields not marked [Bindable] however.
