I have an app with a series of images ready to be loaded. At any one time, the user can navigate to an image, which will preload the images from a server next to it in the list for quicker display.
If a user navigates to an image, before the preloaded images have been loaded, then the app will finish loading the old images before moving onto the new ones.
Is there any way I could stop the older images being loaded in this scenario, and move directly onto preloading the new ones? Hope this makes sense!
Thanks in advance,
How are you loading them ? HTTPService , URLLoader , Loader , FileReference. ? Those items generally have a cancel function (I think ) that you can use to stop the loading.
Thanks for your reply.
I'm currently loading the images using the image_variable.load(URLRequest(url), loaderContext) way.
I've seen a Loader.close() function, is that the one?
