I don't know if anyone else has encountered this, but I had a site that built in CS4, and I had to make some updates. Month and a half later I get a frantic call from my client saying a bunch of the links on the site are broken. Puzzled I opened the file in question and Flash had truncated the majority of my links. It appears that Flash CS5 won't allow links in the Links field in the text properties panel over 128 characters. Is this news to just me? or did I miss the survey that determined that 128 characters was enough.
My only solution was to back save the file to CS4 and do that each time I save it. Otherwise, if I save it as CS5, it will truncate my lines again.
Perhaps there is a preference setting for this somewhere?
If anyone can shed some light on this, it would be appreciated.
