I found this in the Flash help but I'm unable to make it work :
Flash exports the first frame in the SWF file as a PNG file, unless you mark a different keyframe for export by entering the #Static frame label.
When publishing the fla, the png is build from the frame that is currently displayed in flash (if my timeline is at frame 3, frame 3 get exported).
This feature is supposed to be working for JPEG and GIF publishing too but none of those seems to work for me, this always result with the current frame being exported. It's not a problem with the version too, I tried in CS3 and CS4 and the feature is supposed to be working in both.
Can anybody help?
I had not used this feature before you mentioned it.
I observed the same results as you did. Infact the GIF works only when I select the animation option instead of static.
I did not have any frame labels and still the current frame was exported. Looks like it might be a bug with the IDE.
Let me know if you find a work around. Meanwhile I shall update you if I find any
Did anyone found a solution to this yet?
I need to publish the Flash files as a JPG as well and want to choose a different keyframe then the first one.
