1. Re: Recommend a monitor?
Mika Knarf Jul 28, 2010 11:56 AM (in response to Spoot51)I'm considering to get the DELL ULTRASHARP...
Seems a quite common monito for Video work.
The vast possibility of connections is very intersting IMO

JSS1138 Jul 28, 2010 10:55 PM (in response to Spoot51)I am generally of the opinion that a dual monitor setup should use two of the same.

4. Re: Recommend a monitor?
Spoot51 Jul 29, 2010 7:12 AM (in response to JSS1138)Yes, I think two of the same is best, Jim, so I am going with the NEC. Displays 91% of NTSC RGB color gamut. ( pretty good?) Native resolution 1920X1200 and everything is customizable from Gamma to Saturation. I've used one for two years and can't see any loss of color or fading and that's with the original controls set to about 30% brightness. It may not be the newest gadget, but it's a war horse. p.s. Mika, I looked at the Dell. DVI is same thing as HDMI connection without audio. I don't care if the NEC doesn't have a USB port, either. $953 delivered at both Amazon and Newegg, so I think it's hard to beat.
