    Recommend a monitor?

    Spoot51 Community Member

I'm using an NEC MultiSync LCD2690WUXi for both my daily work (trading) and for video editing. This unit has served well for a couple of years and I want to get another monitor to stand side-by-side. Before I order  I was wondering if anyone has strong ideas on something that might give better bang for the buck with comparable specs??

I'm considering to get the DELL ULTRASHARP...

Seems a quite common monito for Video work.

The vast possibility of connections is very intersting IMO

            Price Range and size preferred?

I am generally of the opinion that a dual monitor setup should use two of the same.

Yes, I think two of the same is best, Jim, so I am going with the NEC. Displays 91% of  NTSC RGB color gamut. ( pretty good?) Native resolution 1920X1200 and everything is customizable from Gamma to Saturation. I've used one for two years and can't see any loss of color or fading and that's with the original controls set to about 30% brightness. It may not be the newest gadget, but it's a war horse. p.s. Mika, I looked at the Dell. DVI is same thing as HDMI connection without audio. I don't care if the NEC doesn't have a USB port, either. $953 delivered at both Amazon and Newegg, so I think it's hard to beat.
