I have 2 compositions within 1 project:
-(One is a non wide project in 720 by 480 with the aspect ratio of 0.91.)
-(The other is a wide screen project in 720 by 480 with the aspect ratio of 1.21)
I'm wondering why when i switch from one to another, there is nonoticable difference (visually)
between the two. Shouldn't the widescreen composition/canvas litteraly be "wider"?
Any insight or answer will be greatly appreciate.
It's the PAR that will make the widescreen image display properly (look wider) when interpreted by the display device. If you want a more recognizable result, enable "Pixel Aspect Ratio Correction" in your composition window.
(hit the little button with double-arrows)
great....why wouldn't someone want this turned on?
Because in preview mode certain things, like text, look bad. It lets you check on certain things. I, for one, have found that switch quite useful.
