Removing the Vertical scroll bar for TextArea control

mxvx

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<mx:VBox xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" width="388"  borderStyle="solid" borderThickness="5" creationComplete="fnInit()" height="100%">
<mx:Script>
<![CDATA[
private function fnInit():void {
//invalidateSize();
//invalidateDisplayList();
txtAreaTest.text = " sd asd sad " +
"asdfasd" +
"sdafs" +
"fsd" +
"fasdf" +
"asdfasdf asd sad fasd fsa" +
"sd sd fsdf" +
"a sdf" +
"as d" +
"fas df" +
"a sdf" +
" sdf" +
" asdf asdf sdf" +
" asdf as"
//txtAreaTest.percentHeight = 100;
}

]]>
</mx:Script>
<mx:Label x="44" y="28" text="NEW COMP" width="298" height="54" fontSize="23" textAlign="center"/>
<mx:TextArea id="txtAreaTest" x="25" width="190"  height="100%"/>

</mx:VBox>

For the above code, instead of increasing the height of the text area control it is showing me the vertical scroll bar for the text control. is thr any way to remove the vertical scroll bar when the text exceeds the default height

Regards

mxvx
