The AppMeasurement libraries are available in AS2 and AS3. You can instrument SiteCatalyst in AS-only project, as well as w/ Flex 3.x and 4.x projects.
The SiteCatalyst Extension for Flash Builder (which works with Flash Builder 4.0.1, and provides additional UI, a wizard for customizing your AppMeasurement libraries, and Flex-based AppMeasurement components), is tested to support SDK 4.0 or later. You can use w/ SDK 3.5 projects, but at your own risk.
Thanks a lot for your reply. Please let me clarify what I have understood from your answer:
Suppose I do not need Site catalyst 'extension'. Then also, I can download AppMeasurement library separately and implement that in a flex project that is built upon SDK 3.5. Am I right?
Secondly, can I use the SiteCatalyst 'extension' with SDK 3.5 at all? If yes, then what are the risk factors involved?
1) Yes, you are correct.
2) You can use the SiteCatalyst extension with 3.5 SDK projects, but you might get errors in the IDE / generated code (we didn't certify the extension for 3.5), though this may be fixed in a later version of the extension.
Thanks a lot Bill.......My query has been clearly addressed.
