Spcecial Characters-Trademark and Service Mark

Killogram Level 1
Does anyone know how to display a Trademark(tm) or ServiceMark(sm) character in Flex?

Thanks.

Make sure that the font you're using in your Flex application (or the default font used by Flex 3.x or 4.x) supports the special characters that you want. On Windows I use charmap.exe.

For example, if I switch to "Verdana", I see the special characters:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<s:Application xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"
xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx">

<fx:Style>
@namespace s "library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark";

global {
fontFamily: Verdana;
}
</fx:Style>

<fx:Script>
<![CDATA[
protected const trademarkSymbol:String = "\u2122";
protected const copyrightSymbol:String = "\u00A9";
protected const serviceMarkSymbol:String ="\u2120";
protected const serviceMarkSymbol1:String ="\u8480";
]]>
</fx:Script>

<s:VGroup>
<mx:Label text="1) Demo{trademarkSymbol}"/>

if we replace label with richtext it works for me.

thanks for both of your help.
