I'm working on upgrading an OVP player to OSMF.
However, I've found that OVP did not require bitrates to be known before creating a Dynamic Stream, and OSMF now requires it.
I've spoofed the bitrates for each stream to 1000,2000,etc (and tried 1/2/3..) and I'm getting stuttering playback performance issues.
I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to get the bitrates without a serious re-writing of some .NET code that provides the embed code for the player.
Is there a way to get around this?
It is important to know the actual stream names and the ascending order of the streams. The actual bitrate, from OSMF switch manager's view point, does not really matter.
You may want to try increasing the bufferTime and see whether the playback stuttering goes away.
