pwillener Aug 5, 2010 12:43 AM (in response to bigbob69)When you open Adobe Reader 9.3 by itself, it will not try to install 8.1.0?
But when you double-click on a PDF, then it will launch the 8.1.0 install, is that correct?
Open a Command Prompt (Start | Run | type
cmd
), then inside the Command Prompt typeassoc .pdf
- what is the reply from the command? (Typeexit
to close the Command Prompt.) -

bigbob69 Aug 5, 2010 4:55 AM (in response to pwillener)When I click the start command - there is no "run" choice - I am running
Vista with the latest updates - and you are correct about what takes place -
9.3 will open OK but the problem arises when I try to open a pdf file.
