Not many know it, but the frames pallet can be undocked, and used as a floating pallete, just like any other pallete.
You probably UNDOCKED, the frames from the main document and then inadvertently closed it.
You would have done this by, clicking on the small traiangle, against the frame numbers on the top right. and then clicking again on PLACEMENT.
To get the frames pallete back: Just click on WORKSPACE...its usually on the right in the same bar as SCENE, just before the CLAPPER icon...select DEFAULT...or if you made your own WorkSpace, click on that.
Hope that helps
I tried setting the default workspace back and that didn't work. I see where someone else posted this same problem on this forum. Here is her
message which is exactly the same problem I'm having.
I accidentally clicked an area on the timeline that made all the frames to the right of the layers disappear. I've gone through all the menus including VIEW and WINDOW where I thought I would be able to make the frames appear and can't find it anywhere! I've docked and un-docked, moved around the timeline and still can't get the frames back. Adobe HELP couldn't help me. How do I get the frames to get back to the right of the layers??
There was no correction answer to her post.
I could see your problem and I am able to sort of recreate this problem as well
You can resolve this problem by
1. Undock the TIMELINE panel so as to make it as a floating panel if it is docked
2. Position the floating TIMELINE panel such that the panel starts from the left most of your application window possible(so that you have enough space at the right side to increase the width of the panel)
3. Keep increasing the width of the panel on the right side until you get to see the vertical layer Vs frame divider bar or actually some frames
4. Adjust the vertical divider bar to its left so that you can see both the layers as well as the frames together
hope this helps, Thanks!
PS: pls mark this post as Answered if it resolves your problem
the op solved the problem in another thread. double clicking the 3 vertical lines to the right of the garbage can or delete layer icon) toggles the timeline to be hidden/shown.
I undocked the TIMELINE and accidentaly deleted it! How do i get it back?

In the upper right of the Flash window is a workspace menu. You can select "Reset" from there. Or go to the menu Window/Workspaces/ and reset the workspace there.
