Content of PDF file? Type of printer? Operating system?
The PDF is a scanned piece of paper with only text and some lines. No photos. The file is 79,6Kb in size and is printed over a 5,5Mb Frame-relay link to a centralized printserver. From there it is send to a Multifunctional Xerox WorkCentre 7345. In the raw data from the capturefile I saw that in total 5,9Mb was transferred over the Frame-relay link. This is just the data from the client to the printserver. The same amount of data will also be transferred from the printserver to the Multifunctional. So a pdf from 79,6Kb generates roundabout 12Mb of data to be transferred.
I am trying to figure out if there is some kind of statistic, so I can theoratically explain what is happening and why. Hope this info puts my question to a larger perspective.
Thanks for now
Oh, OS is XP sp2, Acrobat Reader 8
