Span/Split cols involving tables & deleting rows/cols across spreads causes InDesign to go bye bye

I'm working on an article and it's only about 15 pages or so (part of a magazine but it's a separate file)

Anyway, I have a text frame with one column. But in the midle of the text are tables. So I thought perfect for splitting this table into two columns.

It works nicely, I can have a two column table within the single column, it's pretty neat.

However, I'm experiencing constant crashes when I am deleting multiple rows, especially across a spread, and also with deleting rows, mostly noticed it when I have a Header Row in the table.

Can anyone test this and see if they too experience crashes?

      Steps:

      1. Spread of pages
      2. Single column frame
      3. Text
      4. Followed by a table that spans both spreads.
      5. Make the table narrow enough for two columns.
      6. Selec the table with the text tool (not the cells of the table the table in the text)
      7. Split the table into two columns.
      8. Create a header row.

Now try to delete rows/columns across spreads, including deleting the header row.

      Thanks
