1. Re: Any word on 5.02 Update, NanoFlash?
Bill Hunt Aug 7, 2010 11:03 AM (in response to Rkenosha)Welcome to the forum.
So far, no word. With our Adobe employee contributors, I feel that one will get notice out, as soon as they can. Right now - all quiet on the Western front though.

2. Re: Any word on 5.02 Update, NanoFlash?
Todd_Kopriva Aug 7, 2010 11:13 AM (in response to Bill Hunt)I will post a detailed list of all changes and fixes in the next update within minutes of it being released. Stay tuned. If you want to know as soon as possible, subscribe to my Premiere Pro blog. It may be five whole minutes between when I publish the details there and when I notify this forum.

RDA972 Aug 7, 2010 12:07 PM (in response to Todd_Kopriva)I, for one, can live with the 5-minute delay.
All quiet on the western front right now but hell may break loose next week.

I hope this is coded language for "the longed-for release of 5.02 is imminent".
I have a sneaking suspicion that Todd has already written the help files and is anxiously wating for the signal to make them public.

Stan Jones Aug 7, 2010 7:18 PM (in response to RDA972)Notice how few adobe employees have been posting this past week? Hmmm.

6. Re: Any word on 5.02 Update, NanoFlash?
RDA972 Aug 7, 2010 7:29 PM (in response to Stan Jones)Yep. They're all probably busy putting the finishing touches to the update.
At least, that's what it looks like.
Here is hoping for a release early next week.

Bill Hunt Aug 7, 2010 8:03 PM (in response to RDA972)Who knows? There could well be lines, to read between, or then, maybe not?????
We will just have to wait and see how things shake out. Given the wonderful Adobe presence here, I think that we WILL get notification, as soon as it can be released.
Good luck to all,
Hunt

8. Re: Any word on 5.02 Update, NanoFlash?
Bill Hunt Aug 7, 2010 8:05 PM (in response to RDA972)Or, they have attended a big Adobe "beach party" at Pismo Beach, and are all mellow from drinking Foxen's wines? Or maybe some Brewer-Clifton from Santa Barbara.
Hey, the "crazy, hazy days of Summer."

Bill, I'm afraid luck has nothing to do with it.
It's about Adobe being ready to release the update.

10. Re: Any word on 5.02 Update, NanoFlash?
RDA972 Aug 8, 2010 7:37 AM (in response to Bill Hunt)If that is the case then the update might be delayed until they fully recover from a mighty hangover.
Bill, you keep writing about wine, what about rum?
Take a look at what Martinique has to offer.

Bill Hunt Aug 8, 2010 9:19 AM (in response to RDA972)Yeah, I hope that the coders are feeling really good (I always ask my pilot if they slept well, when they board the ship), when CS5.2 is signed off on. Many saw what happens when things get rushed with updates (think CS4.1), and all is not done, or done with full consideration of the consequences. Think about all those interlinked little strings in a program, like PrPro! You tighten one string, and there could be consequences anywhere along it.
As for rum, I used to follow that beverage in my youth. I still have some, but have to admit that I am now worse than a newbie to it. Same for Tequila. Once it was dark or light (kind of like rum n my day), and now - Katy bar the door! Planter's Punch and Zombies used to be drinks of choice on hot, humid days (and nights) in New Orleans. Had plenty of those days and nights to try and cool down too, so lots of tall, iced rum drinks. I'll take a look at the site.
Many of my close friends are deeply into single-malt Scotch Whiskey, and when they show me their "cellar list," I am totally blown away. Heck, I though that it was only Johnnie Walker...

13. Re: Any word on 5.02 Update, NanoFlash?
react1200 Aug 10, 2010 9:33 AM (in response to Todd_Kopriva)Any updates yet? I am really annoyed by having to wait a couple of minutes every time I switch to another application and then come back to Premiere. Sometimes it just does it at random when editing Cineform files that were 7d and 5d avchd files. Please hurry!

14. Re: Any word on 5.02 Update, NanoFlash?
Bill Hunt Aug 10, 2010 7:00 PM (in response to react1200)You might want to look at the replies from our Adobe employee contributors. When something can me released, it will be, with full details on what the update will include, what will be addressed, and how to install it.
At this point, just be patient, and it shall come to you. The folk here will probably be the first to get a public notification, when it can be released.
Good luck,
Hunt
