I think "AIR Marketplace" sounds alot better than "Melrose"

I think "AIR Marketplace" sound alot better than "Melrose" - what the heck is Melrose? It doesn't suggest anything?!

This is sort of a big deal for what should be a major commercial endeavor and if Adobe really wants to promote the AIR platform. How can Adobe (who we all love) really be helping their developers when end users are going "huh?" with a name like Melrose?

We are glad that you like us! I want to clarify what Melrose is and what it means to developers, publishers and end users.

Melrose is a way to distribute applications to different application stores. Today, the two stores that Melrose supplies applications to are the Intel AppUp Center and the Adobe AIR Marketplace. We will continue to add stores to Melrose.

Only developers and publishers see the term Melrose. The end users go through the stores and are not exposed to the name Melrose.

Finally, Melrose is a code name for the product while it is still in beta; the product will get a 'final' name soon that I hope you will like.
