ColdFusion Builder is mainly the IDE for writing Web Applications, and as far as I know, this doesn't include C++ CFXTags
Now with ColdFusion Running on Java Since Version 6 the prefered method now is to use the JAVA to write the custom tags, to make them more portable.
More information can be found in the Live Docs
The Whole topics is covered:
I've not needed to write a Custom Tag for a while, as ColdFusion 8/9 Does everything I require. What is it that your needed ro create a Custom Tag for if you don't mind me asking?
thanks for the info. The problem that I ran into with trying to create CFX tags with C++, is that the "Setting up your C++ development environment" http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/9.0/Developing/WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811cbec0a4b8 -7fe4.html#WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811cbec0a4b8-7fe2 seems to be incomplete (I use Windows). The wizard (cfxwiz_vc50.awx) file which was used in Visual Studio (VS) 5 and 6 would automatically set up the "skeleton" files needed so you could create CFX tags. This is no longer an option, this file does not work with later versions of VS. I have tried creating projects by using "File"->"New"->"Project From Existing Code" (I'm assuming that the example contains all the "skeleton" files), so when VS imports the files (I import them as a dll project), they are placed in the correct folders, however, that does not work either, as compiling fails. Don't know if there is a setup option in VS that needs to be changed (num of options is massive).
