That's not true,
Application.application.url give you the path of the swf file NOT the path of the html page that contain the swf.
The goal is to be able to distribute the swf file and track the action done on that specific swf.
= To be able to put it on myspace and identify the page is on within the swf ?
Ok I found a solution:
Using a wrapper to the final swf :
<embed src=" http://your_swf_site/embed.php" ..... bla bla ></embed>
And NOW oh magic ,
Application.application.url contain the http_referer !!!!
Simple ... but it works ;-)
well Flex SDK says :
The URL from which this Application's SWF file was loaded.
that sounds like url of html or whatever that loaded swf
No, the swf file can be loaded from any url, independent of its wrapper. In a flex builder generated app they are in the same location, but that is just convention.
