    Passing Data to skin of a SkinnableContainer

    opiator

      Hi there,I have a pretty basic question.

      I have read up on sending data to skins in Flex 4. As i understand you can send data via hostComponent or by using corresponding ID's from the parent object. Most examples use {hostComponent.label} - thus you set the label of the parent component and it inherits that. On what would you assign the text on a SkinnableContainer?

      my component :

      <s:SkinnableContainer id="scrollingText" skinClass="components.ScrollPanel1" x="21" y="193">

      </s:SkinnableContainer>

      the skin:

      <s:Skin xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark" xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009">
          <s:states>
              <s:State name="normal"/>
              <s:State name="disabled"/>
          </s:states>
          <s:RichText>
              <s:text.disabled></s:text.disabled>
              <s:content.normal><s:p><s:span>{hostComponent........???}</s:span></s:p></s:content.norma l>
          </s:RichText>

      </s:Skin>

      Any help would be greatly appreciated.
