Adding two different tracks as backgound

Is it possible to add two different tracks as background music in Captivate v4, rather than looping the first track?

I have a slide show that runs for approx 10 mins and would like to have one track at the start and then when that has finished move to another different track?

          Hi Noel

Generally speaking, the looping Background Audio trick is a good one for the following reasons.

You don't have any real concerns over the duration of the Captivate movie you create. Because it loops, it always accommodates whatever the duration of the project is.

You may use a VERY small audio clip and save considerably on the overall size of your project. Because audio is data and data consumes space, if you had to create an audio clip that was as long as the project play time, you would add tremendously to the size of the project.

I'm thinking there are basically two approaches you can take with this. Both will involve splicing together your two audio tracks to make them a single contatenated audio file.

The first approach uses the single audio file as the Background track. But instead of looping, you would want it to play only once.

The second approach uses the single audio file as Slide audio. When you insert it on the slide you are offered multiple options. You would use the third option as shown below to layer the track across the slides.

Note that you would want to ensure you have the slide timings exactly as you want them before adding the audio. Otherwise, if you repeat the process time and again you run the real risk of mismatched audio and other odd behaviors.

          Cheers... Rick
