Is it possible to control how often the player pings the server to get more frequent stats on QoS metrics? Or, in simpler terms, is it possible to ping the server at a set frequency to adjust the dynamic multbitrate streaming switch so it will switch between streams at a faster pace?
Do you want the switch manager to check for bitrate switch more often or want the actual switch to happen quicker?
For the former, right now there isn't a way to do so without implementing your own switch manager. For the latter, the "fast switch" feature of a later release of FMS will address the issue.
