1) I have three files which were captured in AVCHD. The first one was edited and saved as MPEG 2 H264 for Blue Ray. The next two are both the captured AVCHD files. File sizes are as follows:
Corel for Blue Ray (edited) 1:24:42 length of clip 7.5 GB.
So you dance 0630.m2t (unedited) 2:09:01 length of clip 10.5 GB
So you dance 0707.m2ts (unedited) 2:09:01 length of clip 10.5 GB
All files are 1980 X1020
After editing the last 2 files in Premiere Pro and putting the three clips together as one Sequence, the total project length for the three clips is 3:32:28.
The project size is 28.3GB even though I trimmed almost 2 hours from the original source material. If Adobe isn't going to re-encode, why is the file so much bigger than I am expecting? Also when I get the clip properties for Sequence 01 it shows 720 X 480 and 4:16:40. When I bring this project into Encore the file size is 28.49 GB and it is set as a blue ray format. If I change the format to DVD the file size becomes 18.96 GB.
What format should it be saved to? If I save it as MPEG2 the file size goes down but is this proper for AVCHD? H264 Blue ray is slightly smaller than H264.
2) Is there a setting to make the project fit the media you are using (in this case a 25 GB blue ray disk).
3) In Encore when making motion menus, regarding duration and loop point for my background top menu video, if I want the item to start at 1:16:18:20 and play for 15 seconds and then loop back to 1:16:18:20 what should my settings be for duration and loop point?
