9.3.4 release is not a cummulative update, it is an incremental update on 9.3.3. You need to apply 9.3.2, 9.3.3 and 9.3.4 patches on Reader 9.3.0 msi (9.3.1 patch can be skipped) .
Adobe Reader is taking so much of my time. I am still strugging to push the updates (9.3.3) and I am getting this error with Adobe says to remove previous version and reinstall it.
1328: Error applying patch to file . It has probably been updated by other means, and can no longer be modified by this patch. For more information contact your patch vendor. System Error: .
Fix: Some file has changed or is missing. Uninstall and reinstall the product.
I don't want to uninstall 'Adobe Reader' on our 300 odd machines (we are using Altiris), can we just get a fix please and make our life less hectic Adobe? or release MSI files for 9.3.4?
Latest version of update which is available is 9.3.4 so why are you trying to push 9.3.3 updates?Probably all your systems are already on version
9.3.3(updated by ARM or some other means).You can find 9.3.4 msp at http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.3.4/misc/AdbeRdrUpd934_all_incr.msp
which you can use to update your systems to 9.3.4.BTW how exactly are you trying to update your 300 systems?What exact command are you
using for the same?
You didn't read my post properly! 'I am still struggling to push 9.3.3 update' on our workstations, so without 9.3.3 you can't update to 9.3.4 and Adobe says I need to reinstall Adobe Reader. If I had msi file from 9.3.4 then I would just run a fresh installation on all our workstations using Altiris.
ok it means you are having problem with the 9.3.3 updates.But my question remained answered:What is the current version of reader in your machines?
As far as i know there is no msi of 9.3.4 but if you want to install Reader 9.3.4 on clean machines directly,you can do that by creating AIP.
My current version is 9.3.2, I understand that there is no msi file for 9.3.4 I was just 'wishing' if I had, I would have deployed a clean installation so that all my machies are up to date with the latest version/updates of Adobe Reader.
But now, I have to find a way to patch my machines with 9.3.3 and then 9.3.4, do you not think it is a waste of time?
