I didn't look at your code. It sort of depends on the situation, but the
more sizes you can fix so that height does not depend on width and/or width
and height don't depend on data that hasn't arrived yet, the better things
I'll go through and be explicit about all heights and widths to see what that does. Seems like overkill seeing as "data that hasn't arrived yet" is supposed to one of the cool things about Flex and data binding.
Oh well, thanks for letting me know it was an open bug and not just me being crazy.
By "data hasn't arrived", I mean scenarios like images where you don't know
the width and height until it arrives. It is totally fine to go and fetch a
set of data and shove it into a list, but if you use lazy loading so that
parts of the items in the data set arrive later and affect the size of
things that can cause issues.
