    9.3.4 update auto

      i wanted to check and see if anyone knows of a command that will cause the adobe reader/acrobat to automatically check for updates and then run them without prompting.

      i'm working with multiple machines on xp sp3 in Active directory.  these users do have admin rights.

          Updater is disabled on (Win Xp, Vista UAC Off, Win7 UAC Off) with Non admin user a/c. If the machines on which you want the updates to be applied, do not fall under the above mentioned config then you can use the following HKLM registry key to be set on the machine,

          Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

          [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Adobe ARM\1.0\ARM]
          "iCheck"=dword:00000003

          You can use the "reg" command to set the registry from the command line.

            I usually run AdobeUpdater.exe from Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Updater5 to do that.  (The folder can also be Updater6, depending on your installed Adobe Products.)
