    a strange problem - HELP!!!!

    borys_k Level 1

      I am not very fluent in AS  so maybe the solution is quite simple.

      I created a menu based on a script. It is a sliding picture buttons gallery. I would like that after a click on a button a larger picture appeared in a container box above the slider. I created that box but instead the picture appears on the slider in the middle of it. What is wrong?

      the link to a file is here

          Your chances of getting help will increase greatly if you present your entire case in your posting, including whatever code is involved with the processing that is giving you trouble.  Some folks that help here will not, and others cannot, open files you make available.

            The first part of the code in main scene is

            panel.onRollOver = panelOver;

            function panelOver() {

            this.onEnterFrame = scrollPanel;

            delete this.onRollOver;

            }

            var b = stroke.getBounds(_root);

            function scrollPanel() {

            if(_xmouse<b.xMin || _xmouse>b.xMax || _ymouse<b.yMin || _ymouse>b.yMax) {

            this.onRollOver = panelOver;

            delete this.onEnterFrame;

            }

            if(panel._x >= 15) {

            panel._x = 15;

            }

            if(panel._x <= -924) {

            panel._x = -924;

            }

            var xdist = _xmouse - 250;

            panel._x += Math.round(-xdist / 7);

            }

            it is in 'action' layer
            every picture - button in the panel movie clip has a code:
            on (release) {
            loadMovie('10.png', box);
            }
            and the 'box' is in the panel movieclip on a separate layer.
            the bigger pictures load on top of the buttons in the middle of panel movieclip

              I sorted it out myself.

              The panel movieclip buttons were all on level 0,0 and they should be lower. Now it works however it came out that all panel is scrolling and I would like to scroll only buttons not the loaded picture. So there is another question. How to load pictures by the buttons in the panel movieclip to the "scene 1" level? I mean how to say in AS that the 'box' instance is not in the panel movieclip but in the scene 1?
