I'm looking at purchasing a GTX480 and looking at the reviews it seems that many indicate it runs hot. I know some of you are running this card and would like your thoughts on watercooling. Do your cards run too hot? And specifically if you run water cooling, what parts are you using that work well or would be recommended? Ideally I would want to purchase a system for the CPU and GPU and not have to figure out each tube and joint separately. Much thanks in advance.
HI, if your case has good intake and exhaust fans you will not need to run water cooling. I was thinking of water cooling in the past, and stuck to air.
if you were going togo for water cooling its best to have seperate loops, one for cpu and one for gpu.
I agree with Baz, I use the HAF X case--lots of room, lots of fans, including one dedicated to the 480, and it's been running nice and cool. The large fans means it runs very quiet as well.
