making sure website shows up perfectly in all browsers in html

    culture_creature
How do I make sure my webpage shows up perfect in all web browsers? I tested my page in Fire fox and one of the background colours of a cell wouldn't show up and the colour of my cell's borders wouldn't show. I tested my page in Opera and one the pictures wouldn't show. It is perfect in I.E 6. What do i do because I thought dreamweaver would take care of this.

give us the URL to the site please, and tell us more precisely what looks wrong and where.
We'll then be able to help you.

My page doesn't have a URL yet because I am uploading it to ebay and not a specific website server so I can only give you the code as such, sorry. I really appreiciate your help, thanks in advance

Dreamweaver cannot stop you from making poor layout decisions, or from using
non-best-practice methods. It can't stop you from hacking into your code if
                you work in code view.

The way to make pages that display roughly similarly in all browsers (that's
about the best you can achieve) would be to a) learn what constitutes
standard HTML, and b) make sure that you always use best-practice methods.
Unfortunately, DW does not have an "Easy" button. And to make pages like
you desire, you will definitely not be able to succeed without investing
time and effort into learning HTML and CSS.

Echoing what Murray said, try running your code through the WC3 validator here: http://validator.w3.org/#validate_by_upload

Fix all of the error's it produces and that'll make a good start.

But yeah, things are a lot better now than they used to be in regards to cross browser compatibility. Count your blessings ;-)
