Mark Embrey Aug 29, 2010 8:05 PM (in response to JETalmage)Jet,
I think that is exactly what I am trying to achieve.
So, my follow up question is:
what steps, in what order, did you take to achieve this?
(I am very much a beginner on all of this.)
Thank you very much for your help!

3. Re: divide rectangle into parts with inner glow
JETalmage Aug 29, 2010 8:21 PM (in response to Mark Embrey)- Draw the rounded rectangle.
- Split it at the appropriate points.
- Close the resulting top and bottom paths.
- Join the two resulting side paths; then close them.
- Apply a white fill to all three.
- Apply the desired stroke to all three.
- Select all three. Group them.
- Apply the Inner Glow effect to the selected Group.
