I work for a large global company (biggest in our industry). Our in-house software dispatches PDF files to customers, attached to e-mails.
A few customers have in the past week received the following error while trying to open the files:
There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired.
My global helpdesk was unable to help, my customers' IT people were also just as helpful and a Google search tells me this is a common occurance but the root cause is unknown, and Adobe don't know either or there is no known fix.
Does anyone know what causes this? And how it can be fixed or worked around?
