    100% Font SIze

      I just want to make sure that I understand 100% font size in the body element. I'm starting a new site and I have the following at the beginning of my css file, main.css.

      @charset "utf-8";
      body  {
      background: #ffffff;
      margin: 0; /* it's good practice to zero the margin and padding of the body element to account for differing browser defaults */
      padding: 0;
      text-align: center; /* this centers the container in IE 5* browsers. The text is then set to the left aligned default in the #container selector */
      color: #000000;
      font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif;
      font-size: 100%;

      Now I understand that to mean that the font size will be 100% of default sizes of a browser, because I am not indicating an actual default size of, let's say, 20px. Am I correct?
