What OS, version of browser, and version of Reader?
Windows XP SP 2
I have the same problem. But I use W7 x64bits with Firefox 3.6.8 and Reader 9.3.4.
How can I do read some .pdf with the internet explorer?
Thanks to answer quickly.
I have same configuration as yours but I am able to view pdf files properly in my Firefox browser. Are you facing this problem with some particular pdf file
or link? If yes,can you please share it.?
Have you tried reinstalling Firefox or Adobe Reader? I had the same problem once but i'm on a mac now.
I think this message should go to all who contacted me, and for that I thank you.
It seems I have found the problem, or at least I can now view PDF files. I disabled the FireFox Plug-in "Adobe Acrobat 184.108.40.206" which is described as "Adobe Acrobat Plug-In for FireFox and Netscape 9.3.4".
Not being a genius at computers, I really don't know what has happened. I just know that I went into the "Tools/Addons/Plug-ins" section of FireFox and disabled the above plug-in and the next thing I know I could view PDF files.
Again, thanks to all for trying to help
Thanks very much for your ingenious solution! I wasted two hours trying to sort out the PDF files viewing problem till I found this thread. I wish Adobe explained why disabling the very add-on that should make viewing PDF files possible in Firefox does the job! By the way, I had the same problem in Internet Explorer 8, and solved it by going to Tools, Manage Add-ons, and turning Adobe PDF Link Helper off on then back on again. So the solutions seem to be different for different browsers. But there shouldn't be a problem in the first place! My computer has Windows 7 64 bit OS.
