    OT: Best Video Editing Software

    Level 7
      Hi,

With a baby on the way, want to get a camcorder (see previous post) and was
      wondering:

What are peoples recommendations for video editing software - what do you
      use?

      Thanks

We bought a camcorder a few year ago, but now that our Canon Powerhot
Point-And-Shoot take video just fine, we've found that we never use the
          camcorder much anymore.

iMovie is a decent editor for the price.

we just had twins (www.leoandsabrina.com) and i have to say that the whole camcorder thing is so much more trouble than it's worth. shooting, uploading to my laptop/importing into imovie, editing, exporting as reasonably sized qt movies.... it's a freakin full time job!

if you're not looking to do anything complicated, i'd recommend Windows Movie Maker, which should already be on your computer if you have Windows. it's easy to use, and has some decent transitions and effects.

I used adobe priemere a lot in the past, It works and easy to understand,
reducing movie size I have used squeeze which is very good.
