    New to nine

    pb-99

I am used to select in the pages window - either top middle or bottom quadrants -

      or somewhere on the side.

It seems that Adobe 9 on my new Portege is configured to select the top

quadrant automatically. I have not been able to find a place to change

that. This was never the case with prev vers.

It is important to click on the page preview to be able to adjust the reading

      window, especially at high magnification.

I am reading Google Books primarily, e.g graphic text.

any help would be appreciated, Peter

Yes, this was possible with previous versions of Adobe Reader.

Yes, in Adobe Reader 9 you can only select the top quadrant.

Dear Bernd, thanks for the answer.

Yet, I cannot understand why Adobe would kill this code in Nine.

For those of us working on pdf's of grapics, some that are

oversized or must be inspected at high magnification this feature

was crucial. That feature should be improved not killed!

Essentially, a large crowd has been relegated to old versions.

For a work session - single click is much superior to click and

drag. One hand vs two hands.

What are you thinking? Let us remember that there are

millions of Google books that depend on this kind of navigation.

Will someone of the development team of Nine please start working with

            graphics pdf's

            Dazed and confused, Peter
