I'm learning how to use the "stabilize motion" feature in After Effects CS5. When I press the "analyze forward" button, the "analyzing" process gets slower and slower as it progresses to the point that it kind of stops... It took me almost an hour to "analyze" this 19 seconds footage!!! So is there a way I can make this process go faster?? By the way, the video I'm testing this feature on is 1920 x 1080 and my RAM is 8 GB, Windows 7.
Please bear with the newbie! Thanks.
Keep the Search Area box to a minimum is one tip.
Thanks, your tip kinda worked, the procedure is five times faster now! However it gets slower and slower as it progresses, than it stops. Is there a cure for this as well?
Experiment with less demanding video like DV and less movement. Precompose your footage into a smaller composition like 400x300 pixels.
Stabilize works well and is fun to use in different ways but it's not a no-brainer.
