I'm still new to AS3, and I have a navigation question. I made use of the Forum's info to place one movieclip per frame on the main timeline as described in "Playing multiple movie clips one after other on main timeline' (posted April 23 2010) http://forums.adobe.com/message/2758071
That works fine, but the client's project I'm working on needs to be able to navigate forward and back between movieclips. Is there code I can enter that will cause a movieclip graphic to behave like a button to accomplish this?
You cannot use a Graphic symbol due to not being able to assign an instance name to one (so that you can assign code to it). But you can assign an instance name to MovieClip symbol and assign button code to it. A recent posting that shows the basics of how to code an object for a CLICK interaction can be found at... http://forums.adobe.com/thread/713030?tstart=0 You would just need to change the function so that it does what you want.
Thanks, it's working!
