Welcome to the forum.
What driver do you have for your Quadro FX 4600?
Crashes from the GUI are often video driver related.
Hi Bill thank you for the quick response. The driver you are providing is FX4000 is that still ok even thou mine is FX4600?
Also I did download the latest driver a few hr ago but I can try that link you gave me.
never mind... It is compatible so downloading now
Bill you are the man!
You are too quick for me!
Other than the OS (I'm on XP-Pro 32-bit), that would also be my driver for my Quadro FX 4500.
Good luck, and hope that it will eliminate all issues.
What can happen is that even a simple OS update, or hot-fix can render a video driver obsolete. As PrPro interfaces more closely with the video (and audio) driver than most other programs, one has a false sense of security, when other programs do not have any issues, but suddenly PrPro does. Whenever I allow any OS update, or hot-fix to install, I usually download the newest audio and video drivers. I might not install them, but they are handy, in case PrPro goes wonky on me. I also keep a few older versions in an archive folder, as there have been times where the latest/greatest driver will break something. The nVidia drivers went though about 2 - 3 versions, where some gamer-only modules broke PrPro. Rolling back was the fix for many, until some things changed. Recently, ATI had similar issues with their Catalyst drivers, and a roll-back fixed issues for many.
