We currently use Dreamweaver and Contribute to update our site and the simple file deployer to deploy changes to production. However, we are looking at installing SVN.
I know that Dreamweaver and Contribute are both compatible with SVN but I am completely in the dark when it comes to setting up CPS. I am hoping we can continue to use it and the file deployer. Is this possible?
You can install CPS through Simple Installation or WAR file installation. To know more about the installation process, please refer to, http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Contribute/4.1_CPS/help.html?content=con_setup_install_si_18.h tml.
For setting up of Contribute Server Environment, please refer to http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Contribute/4.1_CPS/ContributeCS3Help-Deploying.pdf.
If you like to integrate Contribute Publishing Server with LDAP and User Directory settings, please refer to http://www.adobe.com/devnet/contribute/articles/cps_ldap.html.
More information on Contribute CS5 with subversion support, refer to the blog post http://blogs.adobe.com/contribute/2010/05/subversion_in_contribute_cs5.html.
Hope this helps you.
