How do you call a base classes method during override?

    flairjax Level 1

So I am trying to override a method and looking through the hierarchy of classes I see this documentation (see below).

           *  The event handler called when a UIComponent object gets focus.

           *  If you override this method, make sure to call the base class version.

           *  @param event The event object.

So how do you override and still call the base class version of the method?  Since my class is about 4 levels up from the base class I can't use super.overridenMethodName as that will only go one level up the hierarchy. So will for example List.overridenMethodName work?  It isn't a static method so not sure that will work.  You can't do super.super.super.overridenMethodName.

      Any suggestions?
