Yes, I'm getting this on several installs of 9.3.4. Sometimes the problem clears up itself, sometimes I delete NOS directory and the next time it works, sometimes the NOS directly doesn't exist when I go looking for it and the install doesn't work.
Can this please be fixed in the next update or sooner? Is there an MSI installer for the 9.3.4 update? Is there a workaround?
This is REALLY ticking me off.
Now, the exe files either for 9.3.3. or 9.3.4 will not install. They extract to 100% then silently die with no error message, no error log, no nothing.
I'm on Windows XP SP3, fully patched, Kaspersky Antivirus on or off doesn't matter, Spyware Terminator active or deactivated doesn't matter.
The NOS extractor simply isn't working.
Downloaded new versions of 9.3.3 and 9.3.4 from the FTP site, still fails.
OK, went to another site downloaded 9.3.3 exe and the 9.3.4 incremental.
9.3.3. would extract but not install. So I went into the Documents and Settings and found the extracted Setup files for 9.3.3 and ran the setup.exe directly. That worked, 9.3.3. installed OK.
Then I ran the incremental and 9.3.4 installed OK.
Adobe needs to fix that damn NOS extractor, it's crap.
And if Adobe is going to be patching every bloody week, it better fix its updating process pretty soon.
