MTSTUNER Sep 11, 2010 6:54 PM (in response to bbxrider11)That looks like you are creating a droplet photoshop 7 proper and not ImageReady.
The droplets and actions created in photoshop are not compatible with ImageReady.
ImageReady doesn't have an automate menu. In ImageReady you can create droplets
from the actions or optimize palettes.

Noel Carboni Sep 12, 2010 8:45 AM (in response to bbxrider11)Are you using a modern OS (e.g., Vista or Windows 7)? If so, there was a thread some time back in which it was reported that permissions issues were at fault with droplet problems. They were solved, as I recall, by running the exe as Administrator or lowering the UAC level.

bbxrider Sep 13, 2010 12:19 AM (in response to bbxrider11)thanks for the replies, Ok so its imageReady, and I can create a droplet and drop
a folder and get my pics processed
but still would like to get a few things figured out.
1. when I did this before I thought there was some way to open the droplet itself in imageReady
and tweak the steps within it and then run it with the tweaks, right from within imageReady
2, I don't see anywhere to control the where the processed files are saved? when I drop the folder
onto the droplet it saves the new versions of the files in the same folder and creates some names
of its own choosing. Ideally I would like to be able to specify an output folder and a naming mask
or just use the original file names

4. Re: droplets don't open
MTSTUNER Sep 13, 2010 1:14 AM (in response to bbxrider)To edit your droplet in ImageReady, File>Open Recent or File>Open and choose your droplet.
After you open the droplet, double click at the top where it says batch options
to change where the files will be saved. Then File>Save, to save the changes you
have made to the droplet.
I don't think you can run the droplet from inside ImageReady, you have to drop your files
or folder into the droplet in the location you saved it to.
The photoshop help that came with ps7 has some stuff about ImageReady.
