1. Re: adobe media encoder components have different versions error CS5 (32 bit)
therealflame Sep 13, 2010 12:45 PM (in response to lister_uk)I also get the same message. Any luck fixing it? I think I might uninstall/reinstall in the next couple days to see if that fixes it. I have two PC's, one with a 32bit version of AME and the other with 64bit AME. Like yours, the 32bit version get this message. I also have a CS4 version still running on the 32bit PC in case of problems. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Ernie_XS Sep 14, 2010 7:22 AM (in response to lister_uk)I've got the same problem with Premiere CS 5 64 bit on Win 7. Despite of that message the Media Encoder seams to work fine; there's only one problem: Putting sequences into the queque directly from Premiere does not work. I've to open up the Encoder and the i can put things into waiting line.

6. Re: adobe media encoder components have different versions error CS5 (32 bit)
leighd7 Sep 30, 2010 9:03 PM (in response to lister_uk)I have battled with this trying to find a work around but with no solution.
So for the time I just reinstalled and did not update the media encoder to 5.0.1 to stop the errors coming up.
I do hope that adobe sorts this out and brings out a patch or update to this solution.
Does any one have any light to shed on the subject ?

7. Re: adobe media encoder components have different versions error CS5 (32 bit)
SuperPope Oct 5, 2010 7:21 AM (in response to lister_uk)I have the exact same setup and am having the exact same issue. It doesn't seem to affect my ability to do the things I need to do, but it doesn't instill much confidence in a brand/product when you get an error that says "Please update Adobe Media Encoder" and then are informed that there are no updates available when you try...

8. Re: adobe media encoder components have different versions error CS5 (32 bit)
Nariman Sodeifi Oct 26, 2010 12:37 PM (in response to lister_uk)This was a problem with the installer.
We have updated and posted a new version to Adobe.com.
If you still get error on launch, you can download the new patch and install it to fix this issue:
1. Go to http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4869
2. Download the patch and save it on your Hard drive.
3. Unzip the file.
After unzipping the file, you should end up with one installer and two folders:
4. Dbl-click on “AdobePatchInstaller.exe”.
This will over write the previous 5.01 patch you installed with new one.
Since we didn't actually change the files inside the patch, but basically fixed the installer, this update has the same update number 5.0.1.
We have also updated the update manager and future automated updates won't have this issue.

therealflame Oct 26, 2010 2:11 PM (in response to Nariman Sodeifi)Confirmed. This fixed my issue. AME is now running like a scalded ape! Thanks Nariman!
Note: No actual apes were harmed in my testing...

Ernie_XS Oct 28, 2010 2:14 AM (in response to lister_uk)Sadly it did not fix my problem. I still get this pop up msg. I'm ob a 64 bit system.
May a complete reinstallation fix this problem?

Digital Webby Nov 16, 2010 5:48 PM (in response to Ernie_XS)Same for me (fix did not work). Win 7 64-bit.
Is a 64 bit update forthcoming?
