b_gossweiler Sep 19, 2010 11:26 AM (in response to GregB2)I cannot drag and drop photos between the folders either...
That's what I would expect, because they really are the same physical folders.
I would try updating the folder locations from bottom to top, i.e. "Sharons Camera" first.

GregB2 Sep 19, 2010 1:17 PM (in response to b_gossweiler)I can update the bottom folders but not the top level folders. It appears as though the top level "Photos" folders contains two unique groups that combine to the total known photos collection.

GregB2 Sep 20, 2010 7:29 AM (in response to b_gossweiler)It hasnt changed. There is one "photos" folder with half my pics and no subfolders, and an
other with the other half and all the subfolders...
The subfolders stay put when I update them and I can do any operations on the top level folders - wont update, cant drag photos etc.

b_gossweiler Sep 20, 2010 5:25 PM (in response to GregB2)I must confess, I'm a bit puzzled with this. Are the 3999 photos in the first folder supposed to be in subfolders of "Pictures"?
What you could try is create a new, temporary folder in LR (somewhere else than the two presently in question), move all photos from the first folder to there from within LR and then move them back to the folders they belong to.
