After unresolved issues with Premiere, now After Effects is giving us problems. Any imported audio is causing the RAM preview to take abnormally long and when it does play, the sound is pitched down. The latest update is installed, everything is up-to-date, etc.
Mac Pro 12-core
ATI Radeon HD 5870
Mac OS 10.6.4
Probably requires an updated driver/ QT component or needs to be disabled...
Is this just happening on one computer? Please try on a different computer. Your Premiere Pro problem seemed to (possibly) be because of a hardware problem---either with a bad video card, an overheating video card, or bad memory. It would be good to remove hardware failure as a possibility for your problems.
The M-Audio Fast Track Pro has always worked on the previous 8-core Mac (2008). Driver is the latest. Looks like uninstall / reinstall of driver helped...
Can you recommend and memory testing / video card testing software, or methods?
