Our PDF iFilter (Version 8.1.2, 32-bit) does not process PDFs any more. The Sharepoint 2007 32-bit configuration was tested and worked. Lately, we receive error "Crawled (The filtering process could not process this item. This might be because you do not have the latest file filter for this type of item. Install the corresponding filter and retry your crawl. )". We use Sharepoint version 22.214.171.12435 and OS Windows Server 2003 EE SP2.
We suspect one of the latests service packs or hotfixes has damaged the iFilter.
Has anyone experienced the same effects?
Any idea what goes wrong or how to remedy the problem?
