I just recorded a WVGA format on a Kodak Zi8 (848 X 480) with a pixel ration of 1:1.
When I start a new project, the closest I can come to a preset is DV-NTSC Widscreen 48 Hz. Unfortunately, when I go to the General Tab, it won't let me change the frame size from the preset of 720 X 480 (1.2121 pixel ratio) to 848 X 480 pixel ratio of 1:1. Am I missing something? It is grayed out and will not let me change it.
When I import the .MOV file, all I get is a big red screen that won't play.
Any help would be appreciated.
Switch the Editing Mode to "Desktop" and then you can enter whatever values you like... or you can just drag the clip to the New Item icon at the bottom of the Project Panel and a sequence will be created with the relevant settings.
However, if all you're seeing is "red," there are other problems afoot...
Drag a clip onto the make new sequence icon and Premiere will make a sequence that matches the clip attributes.
You guys are just too quick! I went to answer, and there were two great replies already there.
