Multiprocessing shot after recent CS5 update.  Please help!

      My computer:

      Model Name: Mac Pro

        Model Identifier: MacPro4,1

        Processor Name: Quad-Core Intel Xeon

        Processor Speed: 2.26 GHz

        Number Of Processors: 2

        Total Number Of Cores: 8

L2 Cache (per core): 256 KB

L3 Cache (per processor): 8 MB

        Memory: 10 GB

        Processor Interconnect Speed: 5.86 GT/s

        Boot ROM Version: MP41.0081.B07

      My problem:

Since the most recent update (10.0.1.19) mutliprocessing no longer works.  My computer lags for exactly 3 minutes and 4 seconds after I hit "render" in the queue, and then, it moves on to the next comp in the queue without actually rendering anything or giving me an error.  It's like it times out and does nothing for 3:04, then thinks the render is finished and moves on to the next one in the queue.  It then lags another 3:04, then moves to the next, etc...

I have to turn off multiprocessing, and I've tried several variations of memory allocation, as well as turned on/off hyperthreading, and I've restarted my machine.  Nothing is working.  Please help!  If possible, I would happily downgrade to the previous version before the update, as I wasn't having any problems before that.

      Thanks!
