Presenter Crashes at "Manage SWF"

Windows 7 64 Bit, Office 2007:

PPT or PPTX file, in either case trying to use the "Manage SWF" function will crash PowerPoint.

just an update...

if I run PowerPoint in Windows XP Service Pack 3 compatibility mode, it solves this particular problem, will update as new issues arise
