Are you sure that all of the pages and files have been uploaded to your server?
Thanks but the problem is with FW itself. It happens when I change a link for example in one of the menu options. I make the changes, click done and it goes back to what was there before.
Definitely seems like a software bug to me...
What version of Fireworks are you using?
If you're building pop up menus for a real site, The FW ones are the worst option to use (even if they are working) because they are a PITA to maintain after the fact. As of CS4, Dreamweaver doesn't even support native editing of the menus, so you have to go back to FW (or dive into the code itself) to make changes.
Thanks. I'm using CS5. Doesn't excuse sloppy programming (if it is) tho.
What would you say is the best route now? The Spry assets in DW? They seem less user friendly at first glance to me.
Would appreciate your comments/opinion.
Not making excuses. Those menus are fraught with issues, I agree They were quite busted in CS4, which is why I asked.
So, what method do you use for drop down menus now? (I was instructed to use them).
There seem to be a number of routes e.g. Spry, CSS only etc.
Interested to hear what you have found the most bulletproof/reliable/consistent etc.
As for other options, the Spry menus are a start as they aren't an additional cost. If
you want more control, check out the commercial menu systems created by Project Seven.
Just took a look at Project Seven. May get them for another project.
Thanks for your input.
You're very welcome.
