I've been trying to import FLV files into After Effects CS5 which works fine but when I bring the FLV into a composition, there is no audio, or there is a low hum. The video plays fine though. The FLV has full audio when I play it in Adobe Media Player though.
Using RAM Preview I am playing the clip but there is no audio. I checked the waveform which shows no audio besides small static noise.
.mov files on the other hand play audio during RAM Previews.
I would suspect the file has been created with odd VBR settings that prevent AE from reconstructing the audio properly. There may also be som copyright and otehr metadata throwing off AE. You will probably have to use another program to convert it first or a stream ripping tool to capture the audio to a WAV or MP3 while it's playing...
